11 November 2009 - Arriving in New Zealand Today has been a really long day and we're all pretty tired. We left the USA on the 9th of November and arrived in Christchurch, New Zealand at around 2 pm on the 11th of November. The hardest part of the trip was the 14 hour trip from Los Angeles to Sydney, Australia. After this leg of the journey it was a relatively short 3 hour flight to Christchurch. Once in Christchurch, we got rides to our hotels and then enjoyed exploring some of the city for the rest of the day. After a while we were too exhausted to stay awake and turned in for the night.
The Christchurch Trolley Tomorrow we have to go to the Clothing Distribution Center to get all of our warm Antarctic clothing.
